    Responsible for developing features and fixing bug in the apps used by Arval’s consumers, both in the browser and on mobile, which are active in 15 countries.

  • Nov 2021 - Present, IT Trainee - Low-Code Specialty | Formorrow, Amersfoort
    With Low-Code Software Development, software can be written quickly and in a visual way. As an It Trainee at Formorrow (formerly Procam) I am learning to work with the Outsystems platform, to then apply it at an employer.

  • Feb 2021 - Nov 2021, IT Support | Utrecht University, Utrecht
    At this position I was the first point of contact for employees and students of Utrecht University. I spoke to them via email, Whatsapp and phone, questioned their problem further and tried to solve it for them. When it could not be solved immediately by me, I made a report with as concrete a problem description as possible and escalated it to the relevant department of the University.

  • Sep 2017 - Sep 2020, E-surveiller | Topselect, Utrecht
    Utrecht University is increasingly taking exams digitally. As a member of the support team, I ensured that these exams ran correctly. I was responsible for preparing the exam rooms, assisting teachers and students during the exams and was in contact with the exam coordinators when a problem occurred that could not be solved locally.

  • Feb 2020 - May 2020, Intern | Ahold Delhaize, Zaandam
    Online marketing and data analysis. I assisted the marketing team in creating dashboards that showed product sales figures. In addition, I worked on a marketing test to see how online ads could positively influence visits to physical stores.

  • Mar 2019 - Jul 2019, Intern | Meertens Institute, Amsterdam
    Research and Programming. I worked on a project where digitized newspaper articles from the seventeenth century were computationally analyzed. I wrote a program in Python that could recognize the historical names of cities and take into account all the different spellings.

  • Jul 2013 - Jul 2014, Treasurer | Study Association Awater, Utrecht
    Study Association Awater is the study association of the study Dutch Language & Culture. As treasurer I got in touch with the financial side of the association as well as the organizational side of the University.

  • Sep 2018 - May 2021, Dutch Studies, Master’s
    The Master’s in Dutch Studies combines linguistics, communication and literature with practical skills such as translating research into policy documents and communicating knowledge in different roles and forms. My final thesis was about analyzing sensational language in headlines using digital tools.

  • Sep 2019 - Sep 2020, New Media & Digital Culture, Master’s
    Data/Software Track. This program combined analysis of the function and impact of new media and datafication with hands-on skills such as programming and data visualization.

  • Feb 2019 - Jul 2019, Utrecht Data School
    In this interdisciplinary track, I learned about data collection, data analysis and data visualization over the course of six months. This culminated in a research project for KRO-NCRV on the behavior of their Instagram followers.

    During my studies, I focused on communication, linguistics, language use and the evolution of language. My thesis was about figurative language use in existing and non-existing proverbs.
